Clear aligners

Removable, near-invisible aligners that straighten teeth gradually — planned digitally and monitored in-clinic at every stage.

Clear aligners at a glance

Clear aligner treatment starts with a digital scan — iTero or equivalent — and a 3D simulation of how your teeth will move. The total number of aligners and expected length are confirmed before you start.

Your written plan confirms the total number of aligners, estimated treatment length, and whether attachments or IPR (interproximal reduction) are needed. We don't start treatment until you've approved your simulated end result on screen.

Clear aligners are most effective for mild to moderate crowding, spacing and bite issues. We'll be honest if your case needs fixed braces instead — or if a combination approach would give a better result.

Quick overview

What are they?

A series of custom-made, removable plastic trays that move teeth incrementally. Each aligner is worn for 1–2 weeks before progressing to the next in the series.

Who are they for?

Adults and older teenagers with mild to moderate crowding, spacing or bite issues. Not suitable for severe skeletal discrepancies or cases requiring significant tooth extraction.

Alternatives

Fixed braces offer more force for complex cases. Composite bonding or veneers can address minor cosmetic concerns without moving teeth at all.

Why choose clear aligners?

Removable

Take them out to eat, drink and clean your teeth normally.

Near-invisible

Clear plastic is barely noticeable in person or on camera.

Your aligner journey

Most aligner cases run six to eighteen months from digital scan to final retainer.

  1. 1
    Before you commit

    Digital scan & simulation

We scan your teeth, design your tooth movements digitally, and show you your projected result — you only proceed if you're happy with the plan.

  2. 2
    2–3 weeks after approval

    Aligners arrive

Your full series of aligners is manufactured and fitted. We place any necessary attachments and show you how to insert and remove them.

  3. 3
    Every 6–8 weeks

    Progress reviews

You collect your next batch of aligners and we check tooth movement is tracking as planned — adjustments made if needed.

  4. 4
    End of treatment

    Retainers fitted

Final aligners completed, retainers made from your end-position scan to hold your result permanently.

Frequently asked questions

How many hours a day do I wear them?

20–22 hours per day for treatment to stay on schedule; they're removed only for eating and cleaning.

Do they hurt?

Each new aligner causes mild pressure for the first day or two — this is normal and shows the teeth are moving.

What if I lose an aligner?

Contact us immediately; we can reorder or move you to the next aligner depending on where you are in the series.

Will I need retainers forever?

Yes — teeth naturally drift without retention. We provide retainers at the end of treatment and advise on long-term wear.
