Routine examination & x-rays
Regular dental check-ups to monitor your oral health, update X-rays and catch problems early, before they need more complex treatment.
What's checked?
Teeth for new decay or failing restorations, gums for signs of periodontitis, soft tissues for any abnormalities, and bite for changes, plus X-rays updated on your individual recall schedule.
Who is it for?
Existing patients maintaining their oral health, typically every 6–12 months depending on your risk level.
Emergency appointments
If something is acutely wrong between check-ups, contact us for an emergency assessment, don't wait for your routine exam.
Why keep up with routine exams?
- Early intervention
Small problems caught early cost less to fix and preserve more tooth.
- Gum disease monitoring
Silent conditions like periodontitis are tracked and managed.
- X-ray on your schedule
Updated only when clinically indicated, not as a routine charge.
Your recall visit journey
Routine exams take 30–45 minutes and are typically every 6–12 months.
-
Start of appointment: Updates since last visit
Any changes to health, medications or concerns since your last visit are noted.
-
15–20 minutes: Clinical examination
Systematic check of all teeth, gums, soft tissues, existing restorations and bite, findings charted and compared to previous records.
-
If due: X-rays
Bitewing or periapical X-rays taken if indicated on your recall schedule, not as a default charge.
-
End of appointment: Findings & plan
Any new concerns discussed, monitoring items updated, and next recall interval confirmed.
